Oyster Shell Wedding Color Palette Inspiration

One of the first design decisions couples make when planning a wedding is the color palette. But how should a couple decide on wedding colors?

Inspiration is everywhere!  Choose your wedding colors based on a favorite piece of art, a favorite vacation destination, or even a favorite meal!

One of my current favorite palettes is based on a little obsession of mine: oyster shells!

I love that this palette is soft and dramatic at the same time.  The slate gray and dusty blue are the perfect cool complement to the blush, rose, taupe, and lavender notes.

These colors are wonderful for any season but particularly for a Winter wedding or Spring wedding.  Imagine the men in slate suites, the bridesmaids in french blue gowns, and the florals filled with dusty rose, soft blush, and cream.
