Black Tie Elegance at
Devil’s Thumb Ranch
E and R's wedding at the stunning Devil's Thumb Ranch was a celebration filled with romance and elegance, showcasing luxurious sophistication in every detail. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, their classic and dreamy color palette of delicate pinks and blues softened the Colorado setting.
The couple's invitation suite, designed by Jolie & Co, was a work of art. It featured two custom watercolor illustrations of Devil's Thumb Ranch and a bespoke monogram on their stationery and custom postage stamps.
The bride embraced tradition in the most meaningful way, borrowing her mother's diamond bracelet for her "something borrowed" and wearing an aquamarine diamond ring as her "something blue."
During cocktail hour, two adorable mini horses delighted guests while serving mini bottles of champagne. Antique tableware, an exquisite mix of Haviland Limoges, Lenox, and Dresden porcelain, graced the tables.
Focusing on a five-course dinner, made possible by their intimate guest list, the couple relished curating all elements of the meal. The dinner included a field green salad with house-made ricotta, toasted hazelnuts, orange slices, and an orange gastrique dressing. Next was a vichyssoise soup, crispy seared salmon with a spring pea purée and pickled black radish, and a palate cleanser accented with gold leaf. The main course was a wagyu ribeye center cut with scalloped potatoes and lemon-grilled asparagus.
The cake from Katy Pierson Cakes was a showstopper in design and flavor. It featured the couple's custom monogram and three decadent tiers: lemon thyme cake with cream cheese buttercream and berry compote, cinnamon sour cream cake with a ribbon of cinnamon and berry compote, and chocolate pistachio cake with vanilla bean buttercream.
